Stay Longer, Experience More

Shan at Uley is an experiential destination, and a one-night stay does not fully do justice to the landscape or the experience.

For Summer

​

We recommend a minimum of 2 nights.
For a deeper and more relaxed experience, 3 nights or more is ideal.

​

This gives guests time for village walks, mountain biking, wildlife walks, trekking, outdoor dining, and stargazing.

 

For Winter

​

For snow leopard expeditions, we recommend 8–10 nights in Ladakh, including 2 nights in Leh for acclimatisation before travelling to Uley.

 

A good winter plan is usually:

2 nights in Leh for acclimatisation
6–8 nights in Uley for snow leopard tracking

Photographers and serious wildlife guests may consider a longer stay.
